A belated welcome to Bilal Mir, Michael Hillman and Muhammad Iftikhar, who played their first match with the 4s v Dulwich on Saturday, 23 May.

I thought that we had a good match v Dulwich. Dulwich won the toss and put us into bat. After a shaky start, losing one of our openers  with 3 runs (all extras) in the second over, our top order played to their potential (mainly with straight bat I was pleased to see) and  w
e posted a total of 212 for 7 wickets in 45 overs (and 5 balls).  Quenton (59), Bilal (51) and Saf (48) were our top scorers.
After (another fantastic)alt tea we went into the field. Our opening bowlers (John Ayling and Bilal Mir) were able to contain the Dulwich batsmen but wickets/ appeals were refused. Any  thoughts that Dulwich had of playing out our opening bowlers and then attacking our changes was eliminated when Michael and Abdul came into the attack. Dulwich wickets fell intermittently and the spin attack of Angus and Muhhammad further comfluxed the middle order batsman. Angus was particularly unlucky not to claim a wicket (the capt missed at least one stumping ). However, stumps were knocked out of the ground by Michael and Saf and we held them to 202 for 07 wickets after 45 overs.  This was enough to secure a winning draw and we had our first 4 points in the bag. alt
Unfortunately Dulwich were unable to keep count of our bowling attack and recorded a number of overs to the incorrect bowler. I went through the stats and reallocated as best I could. So on this basis the bowling was:
Saf : 8-1-21-3

Michael :  9-0-46-2
John Ayling : 3-0-16-1
Muhammad Iftikhar: 5-1-16-1
Bilal Mir : 6-1-22-0
Abdul Zafar : 4-0-38-0
Quinton Dippenaar: 1-0-8-0
Angus Hargan: 5-0-11-0
(any errors in the above please let me know soonest)
Catches were taken by: Muhammad Iftikhar, Saf Nawaz, Quinton Dippenaar alt
