WHCC has a large and thriving Colts’ section and welcomes both boys and girls from the age of 6/7 up to 17 (children can join when they're in year 2 at school). WHCC is committed to introducing cricket and the love of sport into the lives of as many youngsters as possible. First and foremost we want our young Colts to have FUN and to develop their sporting skills. We facilitate this by holding age specific coaching sessions, playing practice and competitive matches and encouraging & developing team spirit and the “spirit of cricket”. As they progress through to the U15 and U17 age groups the boys and girls are encouraged where appropriate to play for the senior, or mens’, cricket teams – it is not unknown for dads and sons to play alongside one another!
